Want to be train to be an Underwriter or an IT Database Analyst? Or want to find out more about what about a career in this specialism is all about? Then you are in the right place!

In 2012 we’ve created an Apprentice Programme that offers a real alternative to university. At Aviva, our business relies on technical expertise and professional excellence. We recognise that university qualifications are not a pre-requisite for all of our critical roles. And we want to help aspiring young people build a good career for themselves while building a sustainable business for us.  Initially we have created opportunities in Underwriting and IT, but we’re likely to add more functions in 2013.

Internship opportunities

We offer valuable hands-on practical internship programmes for those of you studying Actuarial Science or Business Studies.  Internships are a valuable way of gaining practical experience of the world of work to compliment your studies and set you apart from your piers when embarking on your career. We offer a one year internship aimed at undergraduates who are able to take a year in industry as part of their course. We also have six week summer placements for those whose degrees are solely academically based.
