Early Careers and School Leaver Programmes
Grow with Barclays. Brighten up your future. Starting today. Leaving school? Take advantage of a rare opportunity to add to your experience and kick-start your career with a global bank.

We’ve created an innovative development programme that will help you not only gain paid work, but also gain insight into a major global business and study for a sponsored degree and fast-track yourself into a leadership role.

Offering both a fast track into leadership and a sponsored degree, this is a great way into our business. The programme has been developed in partnership with the Lord Ashcroft International Business School at Anglia Ruskin University and Nottingham Business School at Nottingham Trent University. You’ll learn, earn, and get a degree – all in just three years. And you’ll gain everything you need to become a leader in Barclays.

Nottingham Business School
Enrolling on a BA (Hons) Business Management (in-company) degree course, you’ll spend your first year studying full time in Nottingham. You’ll be work-based for your second and third years, although you will return to Nottingham to attend two one-week study blocks.

Lord Ashcroft International Business School
On this programme you’ll complete a three-year BA (Hons) in Management and Leadership. You’ll be work-based and employed by Barclays from day one, but there will be study blocks to attend at the Business School – three two-week blocks in your first year, and two two-week blocks in your second and third years.

Our Committment to your Career
The Graduate Programme begins with a one to six week training programme. This provides the opportunity to get to grips with the work involved in your department, as well as allowing you to start building up your professional network with others from the graduate intake.

Once you have joined your department, the training you will undergo becomes more in-depth and will cover everything from soft skills to technical expertise. As we want to support your professional development every step of the way, you will also be able to study for relevant professional qualifications throughout the Graduate Programme.

Through the ‘buddy’ system and the mentor assigned to you from senior management, your career development will be actively supported.
