The Gap Programme is aimed at providing students taking a year-off before university with unique work experience.  Both 6 and 9 month placements are available in Audit, Public Sector Audit, Risk Consulting and Transaction Services.

We believe that our School Leavers’ Programme is a compelling alternative to pursuing a traditional university route. We’ve developed an innovative 6 year programme that offers the opportunity to get a job in our audit team, obtain an accounting degree at Birmingham, Durham or Exeter University, and become a fully qualified chartered accountant with the ICAEW or ICAS. It’s innovative because KPMG was the first to launch such a programmes and no other programme offers the same powerful combination of benefits that will see you build a rewarding career as soon as you finish school or college. Importantly, we’re also paying a great starting salary of £20k (in London). Who is eligible?
First and foremost we’re looking for people who want a career in business and recognise the value of an accountancy qualification and are joining us as a school leaver.  In addition, to join us on this programme you need to meet our UK A level entry requirements.

How do I apply?
To apply, you should complete the UK firm’s online application form. If your initial application is successful, you’ll be asked to complete our online numerical and verbal reasoning tests and then be invited to a first interview in one of KPMG's UK offices. The final part of the selection process will be a written exercise and an interview with a Partner which will include a presentation.

KPMG Apprenticeship programme is now open

We believe that you don’t have to go to university to have a great career with KPMG. That’s why we are offering a fresh route into the company through our accredited Apprenticeship Programmes in Risk Consulting.  

There are two Apprenticeship routes in Risk Consulting; the Accountancy and the Technology Apprenticeship.  From day one you’ll get hands-on experience in a dynamic environment while studying for a professional qualification. Plus you’ll enjoy all the benefits of working for one of the best-known names in business.

If you have great analytical skills, thrive under pressure and enjoy working in a demanding and fast-moving environment then a career in Risk Consulting may be for you. If you join the Apprenticeship Programme, you will work closely with skilled professionals and experience a varied and challenging range of projects. As you gain more experience you will become more involved in complex, specialist work.

Who is eligible?
First and foremost we are looking for talented school leavers, wanting a career in professional services and who have the commitment to study for a recognised qualification.  You must also meet our minimum entry requirements.

How do I apply?
To apply you should complete the online application form.  If your initial application is successful you will be asked to complete a series of online tests and an interview. The final stage will be a partner interview, presentation and written exercise at KPMG’s Offices in Canary Wharf.
