Certification

IMPORTANT NOTICE

Apprenticeship Certification

We are writing to inform you that from 1 May 2012, we are outsourcing our apprenticeship certification to Skills for Justice.

Therefore, from this date all apprenticeship claims via Apprenticeship Certificates England (ACE), MA Online and paper claims from providers in Wales will be administered by Skills for Justice.

Where you have already registered with us as a training provider, you will not experience any change in the service.  However, all payments will now need to be made directly to Skills for Justice Enterprises.

For providers in Wales, all claims will need to be sent to the following address:-

FSP Apprenticeship Certification
Skills for Justice Enterprises
Centre Court, Atlas Way
Sheffield
South Yorkshire, S4 7QQ

This decision is in light of a review of efficiency savings for this service and our wider work including apprenticeship framework development will continue as normal.

If you have any queries in this regard, please contact Steven Poss on 0845 618 2363 or email steven.poss@financialskillspartnership.org.uk and for queries at Skills for Justice, please contact their certification team on 0114 261 5800 or visit www.skillsforjustice.com/apprenticeships/certification

Training providers and employers will need to submit a claim for apprenticeship certification, which can be found below. The Apprenticeship, Schools and Children Act 2009 (ASCL Act) was enacted on the 6 April 2011. This Act affects the way Apprenticeships are certificated in England. Guidelines under the ASCL Act state that from, and including, April 13 2011 Sector Skills Councils can charge a maximum of £25 per Apprenticeship completion certificate. These learners that complete their apprenticeship on or after 13 April 2011 will be issued with a newly branded Apprenticeship certificate. Those learners that completed their apprenticeship prior to 13 April 2011, the cost of the Apprenticeship certificate will be £30 and will be issued an old style Apprenticeship certificate. The certification claims forms can be found below. Please note that there are separate claims forms depending on the date of completion. Also, there is now additional information required in sections 1 and 3 of the claims forms.
