Industry Oracles provides a mechanism for finance, accountancy and financial services companies to address school, college and university learners’ misperceptions of the industry, and provide essential and valuable careers information to those who may want to enter into the sector. Industry Oracles brings together volunteers (Oracles) from the sector with learners in schools, colleges and universities.  The scheme enables the education sector to access high quality careers workshops, delivered by the Financial Skills Partnership and a volunteer from an employer in the sector.  The aims of the scheme are to:

• Promote careers in the sector and position it as a ‘industry of first choice’
• Enhance learners understanding of career entry and progression points
• Increase awareness of the skills and mindset that are required by employers
• Provide skills development for individuals in the workforce
• Support companies CSR programmes through the provision of an ‘off the shelf’ scheme
