Industry Oracles provides a mechanism for your workforce to develop their skills, confidence and ability to deliver effective presentations, at the same time as promoting your organisation to future talent.  The Industry Oracles Scheme involves individuals from finance, accountancy and financial services companies visiting schools, colleges and universities to deliver workshops that address learner’s misperceptions of the industry and provide valuable careers information to those who may want to enter into the sector. Industry Oracles brings together volunteers (Oracles) from the sector with learners in schools, colleges and universities.  The scheme enables the education sector to access high quality careers workshops, delivered by the Financial Skills Partnership and a volunteer from an employer in the sector.  The aims of the scheme are to:

• Promote careers in the sector and position it as a ‘industry of first choice’
• Enhance learners understanding of career entry and progression points
• Increase awareness of the skills and mindset that are required by employers
• Provide skills development for individuals in the workforce
• Support companies CSR programmes through the provision of an ‘off the shelve’ scheme
